I would suggest first do complete clean of your existing VirtualBox installation using the following command,

$ sudo apt autoremove –purge virtualbox*

Then try to install VirtualBox 6

I get the following error msg when attempting to run 6.0 on Ubuntu 18.04:

RTR3InitEx failed with rc=-1912 (rc=-1912)

The VirtualBox kernel modules do not match this version of VirtualBox. The installation of VirtualBox was apparently not successful.
